Join us in the fight to elect Republican Jaron Crane for State Representative, District 12, Seat B!

Jaron Crane

A life-long Idahoan.

Ronald "Jaron" Crane was born and raised in Nampa, Idaho. He is a third generation Idahoan and the youngest of six children of Retired State Treasurer Ron G. and Cheryl A. Crane of Nampa, Idaho. Jaron attended Nampa Christian Schools from K-12 before heading to Bible College in Hobe Sound, Florida. After being awarded a basketball scholarship, he transferred to Ohio Christian University to play basketball and golf where he received his Associates Degree in Business Management. He then returned home to Idaho and enlisted in the Idaho Army National Guard, enrolled in Boise State University and graduated in 2014 with his Bachelor's in Political Science with an Emphasis in Public Policy. He finished his contract with the Idaho Army National Guard in 2019. In April 2020, he became the Co-Owner of American Fire Protection with his brother Brent. Together, they went on to purchase their parent's company, Crane Alarm Service in December 2022. Prior to buying out this great company Jaron worked for his parents at Crane Alarm Service full time since 2014 and expanded the company into 7 surrounding states. Jaron married his high school sweetheart, Clarissa, in 2011 and together they have 3 beautiful children: Heavenly Joy (5), Jadon Lee (2) and Ronald Drew (7 months).

Jaron is a fervent Christian and a Constitutional Conservative. Jaron's heart beats for his Faith, Family and Freedom.

Jaron on the Issues

  • Pro-Life: I believe that life begins at conception. I believe that every life is precious, valued and should be protected.
  • Pro-1st Amendment: I believe that everyone has the right to choose what or whom they place their faith and belief in without retribution. I believe that you have the right to speak freely without government suppression. Lastly, I believe that you have the right to peaceably assemble and petition the government.
  • Pro-2nd Amendment: I believe that every legal citizen of the United States reserves the right to own and possess firearms for their own enjoyment and protection.
  • Pro-Limited Government: I believe the government should be a last resort option to solving issues in our state. Government should return back to its original purpose for which it was established. The Idaho and US Constitutions provide these guidelines. Our government is best when it is small and closest to the people.
  • Lower Property Taxes: I believe it is the responsibility of state and local government to relieve the burden of taxation on its citizens as much as possible. We must work to lower the continual rise of property taxes amongst the people of Idaho.
  • Anti-Mandate: I believe in your right to choose or refuse vaccinations, masks or other preventative measures. I believe that every person reserves the right to make their own decisions regarding their health. No government should play the role of chief medical officer.
  • Pro-Family: I believe that marriage is between one man and one woman and it is the responsibility of our government to protect that union.

How To Request your Ballot Online

There are multiple ways to request your ballot. The Secretary of State’s office mailed ballot request forms to registered voters’ addresses, but you can also request your ballot online.  All ballot requests must be received by your County Clerk by May 19 at 8 PM, and election results will be final June 2.

REQUESTING YOUR BALLOT ONLINE

The Idaho Secretary of State’s Office has a user-friendly website called IdahoVotes.gov that makes it easy to request a ballot online.

Step One: Are you a registered voter?

If you are already a registered voter and don’t need to update your personal information, skip to step 2!

If you are not a registered voter or need to update your personal information, you can do so through this portal:

https://apps.idahovotes.gov/OnlineVoterRegistration/

If you are not sure, you can check here:

https://apps.idahovotes.gov/YourPollingPlace/AmIRegistered.aspx

Step Two: Your ballot request form

Start your absentee ballot request through IdahoVotes.Gov by selecting the link here:

https://idahovotes.gov/vote-early-idaho/

To get started, click on “Begin My Absentee Ballot Request.”

You can fill out your ballot request form online if you know your Social Security number and have a valid Idaho ID by clicking “Online Absentee Ballot Request.”

If you don’t have a state-issued ID, or you would rather fill out a paper form, don’t worry! You can get a physical request form by clicking “Paper Absentee Request Form,” and the form will appear immediately for you to print.

Step Three: Filling out your ballot request

In Idaho, Primary Elections are based on party affiliation, so the political party you select on your request form will affect what party’s ballot you receive.

You must select a political party if you want to vote for candidates affiliated with that party. Non-partisan ballots do not contain candidates from all parties; they contain bonds, levies, measures, and non-partisan positions.

If you have accessibility concerns and require assistance, you can contact your County Clerk directly HERE.

With these major changes in Idaho’s voting process, it is important to help our families and friends understand how to cast their votes. Regardless of political preferences, we must make sure our neighbors know how to make their voices heard.
